Surprisingly, I didn't document installing the new NRF24 chip. Only after completing the project did I realize I could swap the original chip from the Steam receiver (and decided this was article-worthy). The outcome was identical. Now I possess both a brand-new Steam receiver and a "refurbished" unit using the original chip. Let's assume we're discussing the first swap with the new chip. Overall, I was amazed by how manageable SMD work becomes with proper technique. For those hesitant, I hope this confidence transfers!
